Version 6.6 - Luna VII Tier List Changes 6.6 Phase 1 Post-Release Changes (May 20, 2026) Name Tier Updates Nicole Support NEW With Genshin slowly exiting out of Nod-Krai and transitioning towards its next phase, Hexerei: Secret Rite has slowly been picking up in the endgame landscape, which has seen its latest and arguably most potent addition with the arrival of Nicole. In terms of composition, Nicole's role of being a teamwide ATK-buffer allows her to easily slot into almost any ATK-based team, and only gains more potency with Celestial Gift, a new artifact set tailor-made for buffer supports, and her specifically. On the topic of her build, her main selling point is that she can readily and easily apply ATK buffs that affects most ATK-based characters, alongside a shield that keeps them safe from damage. Since this buff comes from her Elemental Skill, it completely trivializes the process of building her, as one only needs to focus on ATK to improve all aspects of her kit. Two small but particular limiting factors in both her kit and artifact choice, is that firstly, Celestial Gift's full power is locked behind Hexerei: Secret Rite, nudging Nicole towards Hexerei teams and all its pros and cons, and the other being that her buff is teamwide, but not as potent as hypercarry buffers like Bennett. This means that her best use case are in teams with either mulitple DPS units like Burning teams, or multi-purpose units like Durin, who can both damage and buff. Prune Sub-DPS NEW Support NEW Prune functions as an Anemo Sub-DPS that has buffer capabilities based off her own ATK, giving her a spot in most teams that can take an Anemo buffer on paper. Even so, Prune requires another ATK buffer for her own buffs to become more potent. Due to her Hexerei nature, she can wield Celestial Gift, making her a powerful addition to Hexerei teams, especially when placed in teams with multiple ATK buffers. Outside of that, however, her use case is that of a general Anemo Sub-DPS with the potential to boost the damage of her allies. However, it should be noted that if Prune is the lone buffer of the team, not much can be done since Prune truly shines in amplifying already good ATK-based teams to even greater heights. Varka Main DPS Varka now gains two teammates in the form of Nicole and Prune, who can both use Celestial Gift and provide Varka with their own ATK buffs, granting him and his team the power scaling to match up against the best of the best in terms of the highest DPS teams in Genshin. Durin Sub-DPS With the release of Nicole, she and Durin have essentially become the new Pyro-duo must-have, enabling Hexerei: Secret Rite with just the two of them. A special note is that Durin can also benefit from Nicole's buffs, making his own damage and buffs stronger, and vice versa, creating a powerful feedback loop of buffs that can augment any ATK-based character they are paired with. Venti Klee Main DPS/Sub-DPS Venti and Klee have recently gained an avenue to utilize their damaging roles more with the release of Nicole and Prune, and most notably Celestial Gift. With that, Venti rises up to S on both Main DPS and Sub-DPS and Klee to S-tier for Main DPS to better reflect their gaining power when their best teams are involved. Kinich Main DPS Burning essentially had an issue where Kinich's DPS would be lacking, either because he has no sustain option, causing him to lose HP and be interrupted in his combos, or because he has a shielder sustain option, effectively reducing the amount of damage he can deal. Nicole fixes this problem for Kinich and more by giving him both shielding and ATK buffs that do not require him to stay in a specific area. Specifically, Nicole's presence, and Durin's by extension, now put Kinich back among Genshin's more effective DPS units, especially since Celestial Gift is an option for his new Hexerei supports. Varesa Main DPS While Nicole can work with Varesa on paper, her most effective and main Overload team usually wants Chevreuse and Iansan, and Nicole slotting into this team would prevent Hexerei: Secret Rite from activating, leaving Varesa in a tight spot in terms of new teammates. With that, since she neither has Lunar reactions or Hexerei: Secret Rite on her comps, her DPS is slowly waning, leading her back down to S-rank for Main DPS. Mavuika Sub-DPS Specifically in Nicole-based teams that can carry one flex unit, Mavuika is an excellent choice to take due to ATK-based synergy with Nicole, putting her a little above others in SS-tier for Sub-DPS. Raiden Nilou Shinobu Sub-DPS These three are meant to function in hyperbloom teams in their Sub-DPS roles, which have slowly begun to lose footing simply because Lunar-Bloom has separated itself as an identity from Bloom, leaving these three in spots without a best team, and being sidegrades at most. Xilonen Support With each Main DPS finding their own niche and best teammates, Xilonen has been slowly getting pushed out of the meta even within her Natlan allies since multi-buffs are slowly becoming the norm, and Xilonen's main resistance shreds are no longer keeping up. With that in mind, she is still an excellent support in teams that can benefit from an elemental shredder, and hypercarry teams. Xianyun Baizhu Zhongli Support These three are going down the list for their own specific reasons. Xianyun is no longer able to keep up with the meta, since her best teams are locked to Plunge-teams that have not recently benefitted from any of the new reactions, characters, and artifacts. Baizhu and Zhongli have remained as a high-tier healer and shielder respectively for a long time, but as more sustain options were released with multi-purpose uses, these two have begun to fall off, even in the case of Baizhu having both healing and shielding. Despite that, Baizhu and Zhongli's more rudimentary sustainability options are still powerful, but cannot benefit most modern teams due to their one-dimensional use cases.
